One of the things I love about this series are the characters. They're well rounded and believable, they're not unlike people you can meet everyday; the only difference being that modern Red Neds have a thicker veneer of civilization.The plot is deceptively simple and, like a lot of books, does rely on coincidence and luck to move things alone. But it doesn't detract from the overall enjoyment.
Well worth reading.

A little difficult to follow at times, but nonetheless enjoyable and a good read.
Amusing if you are familiar with the characters from the red ned novels
